Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valoda uz 47 lapām. Tas satur 28 attēlus, 2 tabulas un 42 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Maģistra darba mērķis ir nodemonstrēt optometrisko rehabilitācijas metožu ietekmi uz infantilu idiopātisko nistagmu (IIN). Desmit pacientiem ar IIN (30 ± 14 g.) tika veiktas sekojošas ārstēšanas metodes: prizmas ar bāzi uz āru, krāsotas kontaktlēcas (zīlītes diametrs 5 mm), audio-biofīdbeka metode. Pirms un pēc ārstēšanas tika novērtēts redzes asums un kontrastredze tālumā un stereoredze tuvumā ar labāko subjektīvo korekciju, nistagma apmlitūda un frekvence. This review accounts for the most recent and significant research results from the literature on the design and synthesis of 1,2,3-triazole compounds and their usefulness as molecular well-defined corrosion inhibitors for steels, copper, iron, aluminum, and their alloys in several aggressive media. Of particular interest are the 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazole derivatives prepared in a regioselective manner under copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) click reactions. “Autographic wood-engraving: Modernist DIY“

International audience; This paper focuses on the description of modernist wood engraving as a humble form of art in the manuals published by John Farleigh, Clare Leighton and Iain Macnab between 1932 and 1940. As a specific form of artistic encounter with a medium, autographic wood engraving relied on the heritage of the Arts and Crafts’ ethics of making as well as on the modernist aesthetics of carving. This paper aims to show that the efficacy of humbleness as an artistic stance allowed wood engraving to straddle the provinces of art, craft and design at a time when the function of artistic skill and handmaking was being displaced.

The Role of Perceived Social Support as a Contributor to the Successful Transition from Primary to Lower Secondary School

Following approximately 1,800 Finnish children, this longitudinal study examined the associations between students’ perceived social support (teacher-student relationships, family support, and peer support), behavioral engagement, cynicism towards school, and academic achievement during the transition from primary to lower secondary school. After controlling for parental educational level and cynicism before the school transition, the results showed that the more students experienced pre-transition peer support, the less they reported post-transition cynicism. This paper presents the initial results of a two-year research project, the Data Journalism Work Practices, which focuses on newsrooms in Finland, UK and US. Data journalism or data-driven journalism has been defined simply as journalism based on large data sets (or big data) Rogers 2011; Bounegru et al. 2012). According to our ongoing research on data journalism work methods, we can claim this has been an oversimplification.
